Let’s get to know each other

Meet the Dreamer Behind the Camera

Hi I'm Courtney. I was born & raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania,  so I grew up surrounded by winding back roads, old stories, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in ordinary moments. That early connection to nature and narrative still shapes the way I see the world today.

Inspired by old worlds, wild places, & poetry hidden in ordinary moments

Long before I became a photographer...

For as long as I can remember, I've been a storyteller, picking up paper & pen at a young age to craft & illustrate my own mini novels to give to friends and family as gifts. I was curious & observant, the kind of kid who paid attention to the way light filtered through the trees, the feeling a place could hold, and the quiet moments that often carried the most meaning. It wasn't until young adulthood that I found I could craft stories without writing a single word, through photography.

atmospheric & cinematic

The atmosphere before a storm. The glow of lamplight through old windows. The quiet magic of sea air, overgrown gardens, the smell of the forest after it rains, winding countryside roads, antique textures, weathered stone, and fleeting moments of connection. Photography became my way of preserving that feeling.

My work is inspired & shaped by folklore, the seasons, nature, nostalgia, heritage, wild landscapes, old films, slow living, and the beauty hidden within ordinary moments.

My approach is gentle and immersive rather than overly posed. I want your photographs to feel lived-in, , & deeply human (and if you're here, chances are you do too). Your images should look & feel more like actual memories rather than a posed performance. Whether we’re wandering a misty coastline in Ireland, documenting your intimate wedding tucked into the mountains, creating imagery for a family- owned flower farm, or simply capturing a quiet season of your life, I aim to create photographs that feel timeless, soulful, and deeply connected to place.

At the heart of it all, I believe photography is about remembering not only how something looked, but how it felt to be there.

Fast forward to today, I work full time as a nurse, a role that has been just as formative in shaping how I move through the world. Nursing has taught me presence, care, and how quickly life can shift in ways you never expect. It’s a profession of people - in witnessing, in understanding how deeply meaningful even the smallest moments can become. That awareness has never left me, and it continues to influence everything I create behind the camera.

Photography, for me, is an equally important but entirely different expression of that same attentiveness. It found its way into my life in my early 20's through self-portraiture—quietly at first—and became a space where I began to understand both vulnerability and observation from both sides of the lens.

I know what it feels like to be in front of a camera & wonder how you're being seen. I also know what it means to recognize someone else in that moment & to create an environment where they feel they can soften, settle, & simply exist as their most magical self. That understanding shapes the way I work with every person I photograph.

Whether I'm documenting a portrait session, a relationship, a creative brand, or a meaningful milestone, my intention is never to create perfection or moments that feel overly posed. It's to create photographs that feel honest & alive with the reality of the moment. The wind moving through hair. A laugh that wasn't planned. A stolen glance. The quiet in between moments that are the real poetry of life.

Those are the pieces of a story I'm most drawn to preserving.

My Stylistic Approach:

Movement led & emotionally grounded
atmospheric imagery with a dreamlike quality

Dear Reader,

Courtney

Whether you’re planning a celebration, building something creative, stepping into a new chapter, or simply wanting to remember life as it is right now, I am grateful you are here. These moments are rarely just about what is happening on the surface; they are about everything underneath it; the feeling, the people, the atmosphere.

My work is in observing moments - the unposed, the in-between, the quiet gestures and passing expressions that often go unnoticed but end up holding the most beauty. I’m not here to direct every moment, but will gently guide when needed, and otherwise allowing space for things to simply be.

More than anything, I want you to be present. So laugh, dance, be wholly yourself because this is your time to experience the moment as it's happening, while I quietly and attentively preserve your memories for you so that you can cherish & look fondly back on them for years to come.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of your story.
